Stephie Girls Only Say What? Surfin Contest

Stephie's Latest

Nothing compares to a first kiss...

Naturally, I don’t want to attend the semiformal with a pity date, which is why I told my friends I have a boyfriend: this really cute drummer, Rafe. (I wish!) What’s the big deal? Well, Rafe already has a girlfriend, plus now he thinks I have a boyfriend. So I have TWO imaginary boyfriends, and still NO date for the dance. What was I even thinking?

Would a guy like Rafe EVER date a nobody like me?

ON YOUR MARK

Natalie Page is overlooked and unappreciated.
Yeah, sure, she can run fast.
Yeah, sure, all the boys love her...as a buddy.
Yeah, she has plans every weekend night...with her friends and their boyfriends.

GET SET

It's time for the world to sit up and take notice. When Natalie makes the varsity cross country team, it seems like the fast track to being cool. The popular girls notice her, the hunky captain of the boys team is giving her rides home. Natalie Page is off and running.

Then she starts to fail geometry. She has to get a tutor: a very annoying boy who thinks sports is for idiots. A very smart boy who thinks she's stupid. A very cute boy who already has a girlfriend and has no interest in her. A boy she told her parents she was dating.

GO!

Natalie Page can run. Now she has to decide how to finish.

Putting Boys on the Ledge

Blue--that's short for Blueberry--is cursed with the worst name on the planet, parents who seriously hamper her social life, and the figure of her eight-year-old sister. Good thing she has three best friends to help her find true love--even if it means braving The Ledge.

Don't miss Blue's story and all the rest of the gang in their very own books!

So I study. A lot. So I have a huge crush on the "wrong guy." Those two little things justify my friends blackmailing me? "Meet some other boys or else..." Hah. What kind of friends are those?

The kind who can turn me into someone who lies to my parents. And get me grounded. And get me noticed by that "wrong guy," who is actually a jerk and no longer my crush.

Or is he?

Not me. I want a man. Preferably in college, but at least a senior in high school. And I've found my target for the summer. He's seventeen and totally yummy. Plus, he thinks I'm cute. What more could I ask for?

Maybe for the guy I'm assigned to work with for the summer not to hate me. Not that I care what he thinks of me—he's a mere boy. Except, I sort of think I do care.

No matter. I can forget him. If only I could stop noticing his smile. If only I didn't have to spend all day every day with him.

If only I could remember I don't go after guys who don't like me.

I’d be freaking out over varsity soccer tryouts if it weren’t for the new transfer, Graham, who’s helping me practice. He has amazing green eyes, curly brown hair, and perfect calves. Plus, we have lots in common, since all we care about is soccer! Well, that’s all he cares about. If only my heart didn’t beat so fast when we’re on the field... and I don’t think it’s from all the running.

Why is kicking it with a boy so complicated?
